Director of Instruction
Kuiper has led the creation of the Grand Slam Golf Academy at Bobby Jones Golf Course since its inception in 2018. Prior to his work at Bobby Jones, he served as the Director of Instruction at the Woodloch Golf Performance Academy in Pennsylvania and as the Head Teaching Professional at the McCord Golf Academy in Florida. In addition to 15 years of industry experience, Kuiper also holds a Master of Business Administration from Moravian College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. He has worked under premier instructors and mentored top players throughout his career, notably achieving Class “A” PGA membership in 2011 under the supervision of one of Golf Magazine’s “Top 100” teachers, Rick McCord. Kuiper is highly regarded for his instructional ability, having been recognized as the Georgia Section PGA Teacher of the Year for 2020 and receiving US Kids Golf “Top 50” Teacher Award in 2019. He was also recognized as a GRAA Top 100 Growth of Game Professionals in 2020.

Tonya Danckaert, PGA, LPGA
Lead Instructor
Tonya is a native of Stone Mountain, GA. She graduated from Redan High School and the University of Kentucky. Tonya has competed at every level of golf from the Atlanta Junior Golf Association to the LPGA Tour. She competed in many championships including the U.S. Junior Girls, U.S. Amateur, SEC Championship, NCAA Championship, the U.S. Open and The Open Championship. Tonya was a college golf coach and previously taught at The Atlanta Athletic Club. Her teaching focuses on the development of strong fundamentals and a no-nonsense approach to course management.

Tim Knapp, PGA
Lead Club Fitter
Tim began his golf career 20 years ago working at several high-end resort courses in Orlando, Florida. Tim moved to Georgia in 2011 and was a golf professional at RiverPines Golf in Johns Creek. During his time at RiverPines, he was part of a high volume and successful junior program and became a member of the PGA. While at Riverpines, Tim also participated in the fitting experiences for several top brands. Tim has studied under several award-winning instructors and club fitters and has certifications from Trackman and U.S. Kids Golf. Tim brings enthusiasm, a positive attitude and a sincere love of the game of golf to his students and clientele.

Rachel Clopton, PGA

A native of Memphis, TN, Rachel graduated from the Professional Golf Management Program at Mississippi State University in 2018, earning a Degree in Business Administration as well as her PGA Class A Certification. Prior to joining the team at Bobby Jones Golf Course Rachel served as a golf professional at facilities in Alabama, Connecticut, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Rachel is a versatile instructor finding success in the teaching of both adult and juniors and has a strong passion for keeping players engaged through simplified quality instruction. In 2020, Rachel joined an elite group as a US Kids Top 50 coach for her contributions to the growth and development of junior players.

Daniel Fowler, PGA
Daniel grew up in Panama City, Florida and has always had a competitive passion for golf and other sports. After graduating high school Daniel decided to pursue a career in golf and attended Florida Gulf Coast University receiving business degrees in both Professional Golf Management and Resort and Hospitality Management in 2018. Since receiving his Class “A” PGA membership and moving to Atlanta, Daniel has refined his teaching skills by becoming a Specialized PGA Teaching Professional and holds certifications including Trackman, US Kids Golf, and many others. With a focus on not only the game of golf but the lifestyle around people’s everyday lives, health and fitness, Daniel has become a well-rounded teacher exceling in growing the game with Juniors, Seniors, and everyone in between.

Orlando Rodriguez
Lead Instructor
Orlando Rodriguez has been the Grand Slam Golf Academy’s Assistant Professional since 2019. During that time he has developed his skills in coaching junior golfers and learning the fundamentals of teaching by assisting in all academy programs and private lessons. He enjoys sharing his passion for the game particularly in teaching underserved communities in our YMCA and Police Athletic League Programs. Orlando is a U.S. Kids Golf Level 1 Certified Coach and is beginning his journey through the PGA Associate Program. Prior to his golf career, he served as a Connecticut State Police Officer for 22 years.

Kayla Jones
Lead Instructor
Kayla Jones joined the team in 2023. She graduated from Florida State University in 2018 where she earned a degree in marketing and played 4 years of golf for the Seminoles, including a win at the 2014 Texas A&M MoMorial and 2 National Championship Appearances. She then went on to play several years of professional golf in the U.S. and abroad including the LPGA Epson Tour and the Australian WPGA. Kayla is pursuing her education through the PGA and has recently become a U.S. Kids Certified Coach. She has a passion for growing and diversifying the game of golf, striving to make it fun and inclusive for all. A former Milton High School Eagle, she is excited to be in Atlanta.

Stefan Blain
Lead Instructor
Since moving to Peachtree City, GA in 2004 and spending summers in Los Angeles, CA Stefan has grown up around the game of Golf. While in Los Angeles, Stefan attended the Marty Tregan Golf Academy in Griffith Park. Where he sharpened every aspect of his Golf game. He competed in various Junior Golf Tours in Georgia & California where he has won tournaments in both states. He graduated from Mcintosh High School in 2018 where he won a Team Region Championship in 2015, team GHSA 6A State Championship runner up in 2018, and Team MVP in 2018 with a scoring average of 1 under par. Upon completion of High School, Stefan would continue his academic career at Georgia State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in media. Stefan’s love for the game drives him to inspire and help the next generation of junior golfers.

Dr. Bob Jones IV
Sports Psychologist
Dr. Bob Jones IV is a clinical sport psychologist who practices at the Behavioral Institute of Atlanta and is affiliated with the Grand Slam Golf Academy. Dr. Jones is a licensed psychologist in the State of Georgia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Borromeo College of Ohio, a Master of Divinity from Saint Meinrad School of Theology, and a Master of Arts and Doctor of Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Association for Applied Sport Psychology, and the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. In practice for more than twenty years, Dr. Jones has worked with athletes from all sports, ages and competitive levels. The grandson of golfing legend Bobby Jones, Dr. Jones has learned techniques from his grandfather that will help any golfer achieve their potential.

Dr. Ross Brakeville, PT, DPT, STC, TPI-MP
Director of Physical Development
Dr. Ross Brakeville is owner of Georgia Sports Medicine Specialists and team member of the Grand Slam Golf Academy at Bobby Jones Golf Course. Dr. Brakeville received his undergraduate degrees in Science and Physical Therapy from Maryville University, St. Louis, going on to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy and Sports Certification from University of St. Augustine.
Dr. Brakeville has authored 2 books on golf, past host of weekly segment on “The Golf Show” and presenter for several PGA sections and Georgia PGA on golf mechanics and teaching strategies. He is an adjunct Instructor for Kennesaw State University’s NP program, developed an educational program titled: “A Fluid Motion” – Biomechanics and Pathomechanics of Rotational Athletics, is founder of the “PJGA”, a non-profit golf organization paring kids with their parents and is current Chairman for American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy’s Golf SIG.
